Your Russian visa must be registered within 72 hours of arrival (excluding weekends and official holidays).
There are three ways to register your Russian visa:
1) At a hotel where you're staying
2) At the inviting organization/travel agency
3) At the UVIR with apartments owner .
If You are going to stay at a hotel, then the hotel You are living in must take care of Your registration in the local UVIR (Police).
In case You are going to live in St Petersburg in the apartment, You have to visit our office in 3 working days upon the arrival in our city. We will perform the registration in the UVIR (Police) at that time to comply with the rules and will write in Your list of migration registration the exact address You are living at.
When traveling to cities other than St Petersburg, we suggest You attempt to register at the local UVIR (Police) together with apartments owner or if you stay in the Hotel it must register You.
Please note that not registering your Russian visa may lead to serious problems: detention by police, fines on departure, prevention from boarding the plane, etc. We strongly advise you to register your Russian visa to avoid possible unnecessary inconveniences.
